The Alumni Association is selling $10 raffle tickets to benefit the Alumni Association Lecture Series for the Women’s Leadership Colloquium. You can buy yours over the phone at 770-534-6164 or stop by Walters House, 305 Boulevard, Gainesville, to pay with cash, card or check. Winner will be selected in early July – don’t miss out on a chance to win these great prizes!

Golden Tiger Way on the Gainesville historic campus will be closed starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30,  for Homecoming & Family Weekend. It will reopen at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1.

Please be sure to move your car from Golden Tiger Way by 5 p.m. on Friday.

Senior Week celebrates the Women’s College Class of 2014 with fun events each day, especially for seniors. We hope you will take an opportunity next week to acknowledge our future alumnae in your own way. Now Accepting Nominations for Annual Alumni Awards

Every year, the Office of Alumni & Events inducts a select group of extraordinary alumni into the Alumni Hall of Fame. Nominations are being accepted for the Alumni Hall of Fame, Outstanding Alumnae Award and Young Alumnae Award.

If you know an alum who deserves to be recognized for his or her accomplishments, please visit http://www.brenau.edu/alum/alumbenefits/awards-scholarships/ to fill out an electronic nomination form or download PDFs of the forms.

Hard copies of these forms can also be found on the Gainesville campus at the Trustee Library, Downtown Center, Barnes and Noble Bookstore, Fitness Center and Walters House.

Submissions are due by Thursday, Oct. 31.

Tara Davis 2013 Alumnae Endowed Scholarship Recipient

Rising Women’s College senior Tara Davis has been selected as this year’s Alumnae Endowed Scholarship recipient. Tara is a nursing student from Cumming, Georgia who has maintained a 4.0 GPA since attending Brenau. She was elected to the State Board of the 
Georgia Association of Nursing Students where she currently serves as State 
Publications Director. She is an active member of her community, volunteering much of her time with Boy Scouts and her son’s high school marching band, in addition to her 
philanthropic work with both GANS and Brenau Association of Nursing Students. Congratulations, Tara!

 

Service of Remembrance, Sun. Apr. 14

The Office of Alumni and Events invites you to a Service of Remembrance during Alumnae Reunion Weekend on Sunday, April 14 at 10:00 a.m. in Pearce Auditorium. Join us for an interdenominational service to honor and remember Brenau alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends who have passed away in the last year. Brenau’s Chaplain, Rev. Donald Harrison, and other distinguished members of the Gainesville community will lead the service. Brunch to follow at the Yonah Dining Hall.
