Two special, funded opportunities are available for undergraduates in the Georgia region interested in learning more about museums and museum careers. The High Museum of Art in Atlanta is now recruiting for the 2020 Mellon Curatorial Summer Academy and Mellon Undergraduate Curatorial Fellowship (MUCF). These programs are open to first-, second- and third-year undergraduate students from historically underrepresented backgrounds with interests in art, art history or the museum field. Students from any majors are encouraged to apply.
The High is seeking to recruit 15 exceptional undergraduate candidates to participate in a week-long Summer Academy that will take place Sunday, May 31 through Saturday, June 6, 2020. The Academy is designed to offer participants an overview of the curatorial profession. Two participants will be selected to continue on as MUCF fellows for two years.
Please share with your students and encourage them to apply if they qualify! The application deadline for the 2020 Mellon Summer Academy is Monday, February 3, 2020. Students can apply now at High.org/mellonfellowship.
