Members of the Committee for Excellence in Teaching and Learning will present “Encouraging Student Collaboration through Tech Tools” at the Lunch & Learn from 12:30-1:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, in Sellars Gallery. Bring your Canvas-friendly laptops and tablets to learn and practice strategies for optimal collaboration.
Dr. Bryan Sorohan, professor of education, will share tips and tricks for incorporating screencasting into your teaching. Mary Johnson, instructional designer, will provide insights for making the most of Google Drive, while Dr. Laura Carpenter, associate professor of occupational therapy, will demonstrate how to promote student engagement through the use Google Docs in Canvas.
This presentation is appropriate for those who teach both online or in person. During the session, as time allows, faculty attendees will also have an opportunity to share engaging assignments with one another, brainstorming how to incorporate screencasting and Google Docs to improve them further.
