Attend the Hall County HealthSmart Expo on Oct. 17 and Receive One Activity Point

The HealthSmart Expo begins at 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 17 at the Gainesville Civic Center and is free and open to the public.  Brenau University employees will be awarded one activity point for attending the event. There are no fees or appointments needed and free shuttle service is available.

The HealthSmart Expo features:

FREE Community Health Screenings by Longstreet Clinic with professionals on hand to conduct screenings, review your written report and answer questions. (Fasting prior to screenings is recommended).

FREE Health Screenings Include:
Blood Pressure, Body Mass Index, Cholesterol, Triglyceride & Glucose Testing, Carotid Artery Screening, Vision & Hearing Screening, Spine Screenings, and Free Flu Shot (with proof of ID and insurance card).

FREE Wellness Seminars Wednesday, Oct.17 at the Gainesville Civic Center

10–11 a.m. “Farm to Table Living”
Join Tim and Tina Roberts, owners of 2 Dog Cafe for their take on Farm to Table Living. Tim and Tina use an abundance of local, fresh ingredients in their restaurant and will discuss the benefits in their business and how to transition this healthy eating and meal planning for meals at home for your family.

11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. “Exercising for the Health of It”
Holli Lee, certified AFFA trainer in personal fitness, will share a variety of exercises that everyone can do to stay healthy, no matter your age! Holli has been in the fitness industry for 10 years and instructs classes as well as private sessions at the YMCA, Frances Meadows Center and Gainesville First United Methodist Church.

The expo also includes great door prizes and free McDonald’s salads to the first 100 screenings.
