Indigo Dyeing Workshop with the Center for the Arts & Design

From noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, the Center for the Arts & Design will host an Indigo Dyeing Workshop in the Amphitheater on the Gainesville historic campus.

Indigo dying in a tie-dye patternParticipants will be shown several methods for folding fabric to create patterns while using a non-toxic indigo dying technique. It is a fascinating process and you are welcome to participate or stop by to watch the festivities. This event is free and open to all Brenau University faculty, staff and students.

We have plenty of materials for those who just want to stop in and dye a small fabric item without having to attend the entire workshop. In addition, we will be setting up earlier for anyone who has additional fabric that they would like to dye. Anyone who wants to come early with additional fabric needs to meet at the amphitheater at 11 a.m. to prepare the fabric.

In the case of rain, this workshop will be held in L3 or the Simmons Visual Arts Center. Contact Claudia Wilburn at cwilburn@brenau.edu for questions or for additional information on this workshop.
