Brenau Tennis Player Named NAIA National Women’s Player of the Week

Brenau’s Peeraya Charoensirisutthikul, freshman from Marietta, Georgia, was named the NAIA National Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, the national office announced Wednesday. Charoensirisutthikul received the honor based on her performances from April 16-22 and was chosen out of a pool of conference, Association of Independent Institutions and unaffiliated group winners.

Along with Player of the Week honors, Charoensirisutthikul also earned the Appalachian Athletic Conference Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year awards. She was also named to the All-Conference Team, All-Freshman Team, All-Academic Team, and Champions of Character Team.

Charoensirisutthikul lead Brenau to an undefeated season in the AAC, as well as the conference title. Brenau did not give up a single point in three matches during the conference tournament, and the team receives an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship.

Congratulations to Charoensirisutthikul, head coach Andre Ferreira and the entire tennis team!
