The ghost walk around the Gainesville historic campus focuses on some of Brenau’s most famous – and infamous – fables, folk tales and amazing, true stories. Among other tidbits, participants learn which Brenau president literally rolled up his sleeves to build Yonah Hall’s top floor, why Lessie Southgate Simmons has special significance for the university and, of course, precisely who was (or still is?) Brenau’s purported poltergeist Agnes?
The inaugural faculty and staff walk will be led by Kathy Amos, executive director of Brenau’s Center for Lifetime Study. It will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 30, and is expected to last one hour. To participate in the tour, please contact Kelly Maddox at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a spot.
