Northeast Georgia History Center Family Day Sunday, Oct. 8

The Northeast Georgia History Center will host its monthly Family Day on Sunday, Oct. 8, from 1-4 p.m.

Experience 400 years of European arms and armor, from the Battle of Hastings to the end of the Wars of the Roses – the cusp of the modern age – at Family Day: Medieval Times: The Dark Ages come to Light. Highlights include a digital exhibit of the Bayeux Tapestry on a 72-inch monitor, hands-on archaeology and medieval writing activities, living-history interpretations of medieval medicine/cooking and arms and armor demonstrations.
