The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia will host their monthly Weekend Wellness Clinic on Saturday, June 3, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 845 West Ridge Road, Gainesville.
In addition to low-cost rabies shots and other annual vaccinations, microchipping for cats and dogs as well as flea & tick control products also will be available at the clinic. Costs are $10-$15 per shot/vaccine, $20 per microchip, and $15 for flea and tick preventative. Heartworm testing and feline combo testing also will be available. No appointments are needed; however, puppies and kittens must be at least 3 months old for rabies vaccinations. All pets must be in a carrier or securely leashed. There are no residency restrictions for HSNEGA’s Wellness Clinics. Any pet owner can bring their animals for services.
Also, the HSNEGA will be offering $25 spay/neuter surgeries for dogs and cats under 6-months-old from June through July and will have a limited number per month. HSNEGA is able to fund this special by a $40,000 grant from PetSmart Charities, the leading funder of animal welfare in North America, to help fuel its spay and neuter efforts in northeast Georgia.
