The Women’s College will host an afternoon of information and inspiration at the fourth annual Women’s Leadership Colloquium, 1:30-4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 17, in the Hosch Theatre in the John S. Burd Center for the Performing Arts. A reception will follow.
Students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends of the university will gather for conversations about the unique potential and challenges of women’s leadership.
This year’s guest speakers include keynote speaker Catherine Dixon, a principal at ghSMART; Mary Kathryn Wells, CEO of Wells Marketing Agency; Kelley Castlin-Gacutan, educational consultant and former superintendent of Birmingham City Schools; Amy Whitley, retired vice president of human resources and chief diversity and inclusion officer for UPS; and Patty Wolfe, retired rear admiral of United States Navy Supply Corps.
“The caliber of our speakers this year is extraordinary,” said Debra Dobkins, dean of the Women’s College. “These women have been highly successful in a range of fields: education, business, human resources, marketing and the military. They are passionate about the work they do and are dedicated to the people they serve. Each speaker brings expertise, experience and a dynamic engagement with the world, not just in their roles as working women, but also in their roles as mothers and daughters, sisters and mentors.”
