Come to a performance of Oedipus on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 2 p.m. in the Black Box Theater on the Gainesville historic campus. The show is free and open to the public.
Adapted and written by Ellen McLaughlin, the chilling tale of Oedipus is revived for new audiences as the King of Thebes races against time to save his people, discovering the dangers of pride, prophecy and a past that comes back to haunt him. The performance is directed by Elisa Carlson, Gainesville Theatre Alliance resident director and University of North Georgia professor.
