It’s Time to Re-enroll in Kroger Community Rewards

Kroger Community Rewards LogoLast year, Brenau University received almost $500 for scholarships from alumni, parents, students and friends via the Kroger Community Rewards program.

As we get ready to begin a new academic year, Brenau supporters who shop at Kroger must re-link their Kroger Plus Card to Brenau before Aug. 31 in order to continue participating in this program. You do not have to set up a new Kroger.com account, just re-link your card to Brenau.

Why? Kroger has found that participants need to have an active role in order for the program to be effective.

If you have not previously enrolled, this is the perfect time to do so. Once your card is linked, Kroger will automatically credit Brenau with a percentage of your purchases every time you use your Kroger Plus Card at one of their stores.

Campus Campaign Sets Record with 93 Percent Contributions

Give Back - Campus Campaign 2013 Congratulations Brenau employees! Together we raised more than $87,000 for scholarships because 93 percent of employees participated in the Campus Campaign. Please take a moment to thank your colleagues and to celebrate.

This year’s record 93 percent participation is so close to 100 percent that we encourage those who have not yet given to donate any amount online, at https://www.brenau.edu/giving/employeegiving, or by contacting Carrie Williams at 770.534.6163. Contributions as small as one dollar help us get closer to our goal of 100 percent employee participation in the Campus Campaign. Moreover, it sends a message to our external donors and trustees that we are a united front with a lot of Golden Tiger spirit.

Nine employees were selected as lucky winners in the Campus Campaign prize drawings:

David Miller: complimentary entrée at Texas Roadhouse
DeAna Peek: a gift certificate to Wang’s Chinese Restaurant
Lisa Shaw: a gift certificate to El Sombrero
Danielle Miller: two rounds of golf at Brasstown Valley Resort
Tiffany Adams: two tickets to Ripley’s Aquarium in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
Mike Lochstampfor: two tickets to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
David Barnett: lunch for two at The Red Barn Café at Tiger Mountain Vineyards in Tiger, Ga.
