This semester, the School of Occupational Therapy is doing “the baby lab” as an informal interprofessional education event with physical therapy students at the Brenau Downtown Center.
Laura Carpenter, assistant professor of occupational therapy, is seeking babies who are up to 1 year old to come from either 9-10 a.m. or 10-11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, with their caregiver and demonstrate their reflexes and movement skills in small groups with the students.
Email Carpenter at firstname.lastname@example.org if you or anyone you know can attend — you’re welcome to share her email address with friends at church, neighbors, etc. who might be available. Babies will receive a gift card for participating.
Also, let Carpenter know if any faculty are interested in volunteering to help by floating among groups to answer students’ questions and generally control the chaos. Feel free to email with any questions.
