Linda Kern and Kimberly Boyd Appointed to New Positions in Trustee Library

Effective April 1 Linda Kern will become dean of library services and Kim Boyd will become head of research and instruction of the Brenau University Trustee Library administration.

Kern, who replaces the retiring Marlene Giguere, has been the research and instruction director at the library since she came to Brenau in 2006. Boyd, promoted from her post as undergraduate research and instruction librarian, replaces Kern.

“Marlene transformed the library to foster collaboration and active learning, and we will always appreciate the work she has done for Brenau,” said Dr. James Eck, provost and vice president of academic affairs at Brenau. “Linda’s expertise, work ethic and dedication to Brenau will ensure that our library continues to gain strength and momentum as an essential on-campus and online resource for our faculty and students. And Kim has the ideal blend of knowledge and customer service skills to meet the ever increasing demands for library research and instruction across Brenau.”
