Brenau’s Center for the Arts & Design, Kappa Pi Honors Art
Fraternity and Brenau art & design students will present a colossal prints demonstration Friday, March 23, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Jacobs Building parking lot.
This event is organized by Studio Art Program Director Claudia Wilburn, around her printmaking class this spring. Brenau students, faculty and staff have been developing and carving large format woodblocks, which will be used to create giant inked prints with a steamroller.
Local schools and organizations have also been invited to participate, including West Hall High School, Gainesville High School, Gainesville Middle School, North Forsyth High School, South Forsyth High School, The Boys and Girls Club and the Georgia Art League.
From 1 – 4 p.m. community guests are invited to bring a T-shirt and have the Colossal Prints logo screen-printed by Brenau students. Shirts must be provided by the guest, but the printing is free. There will be black and white ink only.
For more information, contact Professor Wilburn at firstname.lastname@example.org. In the event of rain, the event will be rescheduled for Friday, April 6, at the same time and location.
