The Edmondson-Telford Center for Children, a children’s advocacy center serving child abuse victims in Hall and Dawson counties, will hold its annual 5K race this Sunday, Feb. 11.
As a 501c3 nonprofit, they provide forensic interview and medical examination services to suspected child abuse victims free of charge and coordinate cases of abuse with local agencies. Their mission is to be the place where trauma ends and healing begins.
The race will begin from Candler Field (across from the cabin behind City Park) at 528 Prior Street in Gainesville. Additional race details can be found at runsignup.com/Race/GA/Gainesville/Embrace5K.
If you have questions, please contact the Edmondson-Telford Center at 770-534-5151. Brenau alumna Heather Hayes is executive director of the center.
