Brenau alumna Kirstin Ariel, along with Robert Dunlap, will give a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 10, in Pearce Auditorium. The concert will feature repertoire by familiar classical composers including Charles Gounod, Johann Strauss and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, as well as contemporary composers Tom Cipullo and Ben Moore.
The concert is free and open to the public.
This concert is in conjunction with the VoceVista Workshop, lead by Ariel and Dunlap. The VoceVista Workshop will take place 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 11 in Banks Recital Hall, John S. Burd Center for the Performing Arts. The focus of the workshop will be to demonstrate how to find effective and accurate ways to measure subglottal pressure, formant frequencies and other performance techniques such as onset and consonant use in hopes of improving vocal tone and ensemble singing through the use of the VoceVista software.
