Congratulations to Kathy Foley, associate professor in the School of Occupational Therapy, for receiving the American Occupational Therapy Association Roster of Fellows Award. AOTA chose Foley for the honor from a large pool of candidates. Formal presentation of the award was made at the 2017 American Occupational Therapy Association conference and centennial celebration in Philadelphia Mar. 30 – April 2.
The Fellow of American Occupational Therapy Association designation, or FAOTA, recognizes members of the occupational therapy community who, with their knowledge and expertise, have made significant contributions to continuing education and professional development. Foley also serves as secretary on the AOTA board of directors.
Foley joins a growing cadre of Brenau occupational therapy faculty who earned the AOTA professional credential. Others are Professor Mary P. Shotwell, retired Program Director and Professor Emeritus Barbara A. Schell, retired Professor Rosalie Miller and retired OT Department Chair Sara J. Brayman.
