The Northeast Georgia History Center presents Family Day–World War II: Home Front and War Front on Sunday, Nov. 13, at 1 p.m.
In conjunction with the week of Veterans Day, the history center takes a look at the defining event of the 20th century, World War II. The center will explore how the war was experienced by those in the military, by the workers in factories supplying them and the civilians – men, women and children of all races and creeds – who lived through the tumultuous times of a world at war.
With a special focus on the home front in Georgia, this event will include oral histories by veterans, museum theater performances, displays, hands-on activities, living history interpretation and demonstrations of the common soldier’s weapons and equipment.
This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 770-297-5859 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
