Suzanne Erickson, dean of Brenau University’s College of Business and Mass Communication, was one of the recent Hall County graduates from the Georgia Academy for Economic Development’s 2016 Region 2 Multi-Day Training Program.
The multi-day program included training in basic economics and community development with specialized segments on business recruitment and retention, tourism, planning and more.
The Hall County graduates were recognized in a ceremony Wednesday, Nov. 2. Erickson was joined by classmates Richard Oates, vice president of the University of North Georgia’s Gainesville campus; Chris Mundy, Flowery Branch City councilman; and local businessman David Lloyd.
Georgia EMC and Georgia Power provided facilitators for the program, and the Georgia Department of Community Affairs provided staff support.
