The Northeast Georgia History Center and Quinlan Visual Arts Center will host a family day collaboration from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20. Activities include art and artifact scavenger hunt, snacks and door prizes. The two venues are within walking distance from each other and there is ample free parking.
Watch artist demonstrations, including ceramics, pottery wheel and painting, at the Quinlan. Also, take part in hands-on children’s art projects, sketch club, and projects inspired by Northeast Georgia History Center exhibitions including Native American pinch pots and textile weaving.
Take a turn at the churn for home-made ice cream and experience other aspects of daily life on the frontier at the Northeast Georgia History Center. Admission to all exhibitions and gardens is free during the event.
