‘The Gainesville Times’ Features Alison Reeger-Cook

Office of Communications & Publications Administrative Assistant and staff writer Alison Reeger-Cook recently spoke to The Gainesville Times about the latest entry in her young-adult fantasy series. The trilogy-capper The Scholar, the Sphinx and the Threads of Fate was published earlier this summer by Mithras Books and is available online at Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/Scholar-Sphinx-Threads-Fate/dp/191028288X/.

“It’s kind of a world tour of various mythologies,” Cook said. “This is as if the Percy Jackson series took place in the Victorian era because it’s a lot of different mythological creatures meet the real world.”

The official book launch is scheduled Aug. 17 at the Snug Gastro Pub, 190 E. Main St., in Canton, Georgia, at 7 p.m.

That’s not the only work of creative fiction Cook has on the docket for 2016, however. Her one-act play Death by Word is set to premiere Aug. 18-21 at the Theatre of Western Springs, Illinois, and she recently released the first book of an all new sprawling sci-fi opus titled The Scale Seekers.
