Brenau employees who rely on I-985 to get to and from campus have no doubt noticed some slowdown on the highway this summer. Since mid-July, northbound and southbound lanes near the Falcon Parkway overpass in Flowery Branch have been shut down for daytime road improvements. Work along the I-85/I-985 interchange will continue throughout the fall, with lanes closed in the area Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. as construction and repairs inch northward up the northbound side of I-985. Additional roadwork is expected to begin late next month on an eight mile stretch of I-985, from the starting point of Ga. 365/U.S. 23 all the way up to its intersection with Ga. 52.
