Are you over the age of 55 and have exceptional leadership skills, or know someone else who meets the criteria? If so, you can apply to participate in The Wisdom Project’s fall 2016 sessions, which run August through November.
The senior leadership program, which has been recognized as a national model in publications like The Wall Street Journal, Georgia Trend and Georgia Power’s online magazine On Georgia, gives Hall County residents an opportunity to address some of the local community’s biggest social, economic and governmental issues.
A kickoff session is scheduled Aug. 12. Following sessions dedicated to arts and entertainment (Aug. 26), health care (Sept. 9), education (Sept. 23), business, industry and agriculture (Oct. 14), government (Oct. 28) and social services (Nov. 11), a WISE UP and graduation event is planned Nov. 18.
Graduates are invited to join over 100 Wisdom Keepers, who to date, have logged over 5,000 hours of community service in Hall County.
Applications are accepted until July 15 and can be downloaded at https://www.brenau.edu/lifetimestudy.
