The first wave of athletes competing in the Pan American Championships (the last qualifier before the 2016 Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) will begin arriving on the Gainesville historic campus Monday, May 16. The 250 athletes from North, Central and South America will register in the gym that day and be escorted to living quarters in various buildings across campus. Registration continues through Wednesday, May 18, at Yonah Lobby.
The opening ceremony will be at Pearce Auditorium May 18 at 6 p.m. Competitions begin the next day at Lake Lanier Olympic Park.
All Brenau employees are asked to wear their gold name badges all week and help our guests find their way around campus. Additionally, we request that any employees or students needing to use the Tea Room parking lot approach that lot from the entrance off Prior Street, as a shuttle bus transporting athletes to and from the events will load on Academy Street in front of Virginia Hall.

Employees are welcome to eat in the dining hall throughout the week (all meals are $5) or visit the Tea Room during extended hours. Unfortunately, Brenau does not have any tickets to the opening ceremony. The kayakers and canoers will reside at Brenau until May 23.
