Leaptrott Trio to Perform in Atlanta May 9

The Leaptrott Trio will perform at Central Congregational United Church on Monday, May 9.

The free public concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at 2676 Clairmont Ave. NE in Atlanta.

The concert will include chamber works such as The B Flat Major Trio by Schubert and The Four Seasons by Piazzolla (an Argentinian composer known for his tango music), among other pieces.

The Leaptrott Trio comprises Kenn Wagner, Charae Krueger and Ben Leaptrott. Wagner is first violinist with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Krueger is principal cello with the Atlanta Opera Orchestra and Atlanta Ballet Orchestra. Ben Leaptrott, the trio’s organist, is assistant professor of music at Brenau University and has been the official accompanist for the District and Regional Metropolitan Opera auditions in Georgia. The Leaptrott Trio has also been selected to perform in the Spotlight Series for the 2016 season of the Piccolo Spoleto festival in Charleston, South Carolina.
