Please join us in commemorating Barbara Schell’s accomplished career at Brenau Wednesday, May 11, with a retirement celebration in the Brenau Trustee Library from 4 to 6 p.m.
Schell, who retires from her position as professor and director of the School of Occupational Therapy May 30, has worked at Brenau since 1994. While she is retiring from full-time administrative and faculty work, she plans to continue working part-time (on her own schedule, of course) editing textbooks, providing educational program consultations and doing the occasional adjunct teaching. She will also continue to work alongside Brenau as the university further develops the Center for Professional Reasoning.
As for Schell’s post-retirement plans? She said she looks to pursue her lifelong interest in the arts, particularly painting, poetry and other expressive explorations. She also has plans to join her husband John for some photo safaris, travel with family and friends and play more golf.
