If You Don’t Know Golden Tiger Way, You Will: April 21 Dedication and Pep Rally Promises to Get a Little Noisy

With the #6-in-the-nation Golden Tigers tennis team and three-time Southern States Athletic Conference champ Golden Tigers track and field team headed for end-of-season championship competitions in Alabama, the university will formally dedicate Golden Tiger Way Thursday, April 21, at 11:30 a.m. by the Crow’s nest on the Gainesville front campus.

The brief ceremony will feature Brenau President Ed Schrader, Gainesville Mayor Danny Dunagan and others who were instrumental in the renaming of the semi-circular drive that for the past 38 years has been known as Centennial Circle. However, starting at about 11:10 a.m., the pep band and cheerleaders, aided by Golden Tigers intercollegiate athletes and coaches, will conduct a rousing pep rally to send off the two teams to their respective SSAC championship tournaments that start Friday in Mobile, Alabama. The event is open to all faculty, staff and students who will be making their way to the annual Brenau University Women’s College Honors Convocation celebrating student academic achievements.
