The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County host an art show from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Teen Center in Gainesville on Tuesday, April 19.
Students will exhibit their works and sell items to raise funds for their art programs.
“Art gives a community a voice and allows everyone a voice with which to speak,” said Samuel Roper, a Brenau art education student who serves as an art enrichment instructor for the Boys & Girls Club of Hall County. “For children, the arts are not just about what one can make, but it is about what one can take away from what they made and come back to it a more learned individual, more educated on how to view the environments around them. ”
The Teen Center is at 1 Positive Place, located right behind Fair Street Elementary.
