Two of our Art & Design faculty members will bid Brenau adieu at the end of the semester. Professor Mary Beth Looney will relocate overseas with her husband, Sean Shadomy, and Associate Professor Barbara Faulkner will retire.
The Art & Design and Interior Design Departments are offering Brenau staff and faculty two opportunities to say goodbye.
Both Looney and Faulkner will be at the annual Brenau Collaborative event Saturday, April 16. The yearly fashion show is scheduled from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and the senior exhibition and juried undergraduate student show is 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Sellars Gallery and President’s Gallery.
Faculty, staff, students and alumni are also invited to a gathering in the President’s Gallery on Thursday, May 12, at 4 p.m. to celebrate the outgoing professors.
Faulkner and Looney will still maintain close connections with Brenau, however. Faulkner will continue to work with Brenau this fall to manage the Georgia Art Educator Association’s state conference, while Looney will continue to instruct some online courses for the university.
