U.S. Rep. Doug Collins said he is impressed by the technology implemented at the Brenau University School of Nursing. Even more impressive, he said, is the faculty’s commitment to its students.
“You can have great tools, but without passion, it’s going nowhere,” he remarked during his March 31 visit to the Brenau East Campus.
The congressman, who represents 20 Northeast Georgia counties on Capitol Hill, spoke with professors and saw some of the school’s technologically advanced equipment, including the nursing patient simulator, up close. Health care is a growing concern for many of his constituents, he added, and the field presents one of the fastest growing sectors in the regional economy.
“It’s changing rapidly because much of the district is changing both demographically and age-wise,” he said. “If you’re looking for job stability, this is the place to be.”
