This August, as many as 20 Kubi devices – robotic mounts that transform tablets into 360-degree videoconferencing tools – could be coming to Brenau’s classrooms.

Instructional technology support technician Dan Odom said the units will enhance the university’s online courses by allowing remote students to virtually experience live, on-campus classes.

The functionality of the devices, however, may not be limited to remote learning. The Kubi units may also be used for afterhours technical assistance, campus teleconferencing and as a training apparatus in the university’s labs.
