Internationally recognized sculptor Patrick Dougherty is coming to Gainesville’s Atlanta Botanical Garden March 21 – April 10 to install an original piece of artwork.
Volunteers ages 16 and older are needed to assist with the project. The installation will take three weeks and will be on display for about two years.
Those who sign up to assist with the project will have four-hour shifts – from 8 a.m. to noon or 1 to 5 p.m. – on available work dates. Five to six volunteers are needed each shift. If you are only able to work a couple of afternoons one week or one day on a weekend, no worries – your help is still welcome and greatly appreciated.
Not only is this a chance for you to personally work alongside a famous artist, it is also a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the artistic growth of your community.
