‘A Major Milestone for Brenau and Jacksonville,’ as M.B.A. Classes Begin

The first class at Brenau’s Jacksonville campus convened on Tuesday, Jan. 12, with seven students meeting for the evening M.B.A. Foundations course taught by Dr. Eric Aguilar.

“This event was a culmination of a lot of work by the Jacksonville recruiting and support staff,” said Jacksonville Campus Director Donny Moore. “It represents a major milestone for Brenau and Jacksonville.”

Since the applications process began in June, “all the employees in Jacksonville have been working hard to get this class off the ground,” said Dorothy Spaulding, senior enrollment manager.

The BA 500 class includes M.B.A. candidates David Devore, Antonio Dobbins, Codee Fuquay, Margaret Gunnion, Patrick McDearman, Sara Perez and Chenel Wyatt. It meets Tuesday from 6 to 10 p.m. About a dozen other Jacksonville students have started online courses.

The next on-campus classes in Jacksonville, the graduate-level Introduction to Business Communications course and the introductory undergraduate Foundations for Success course, are scheduled to begin March 7.
