At Brenau, Musical Opportunities Abound

Brenau’s Department of Music invites students, faculty, staff and community members to share their talents and love of music by joining three open ensembles.

Have you ever wanted to be a part of an ensemble that not only sounds good, but feeds your soul as well? The Gospel Choir meets every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the choir room on the third floor of the Burd Center. Students may also register for the Gospel Choir as a one-credit course (MC 130.01) or as a zero-credit course (MC 130.00). The Spectrum Singers, a non-auditioned mixed choral group, offers an opportunity to sing alongside a fun-loving group of people sharing the same talent and passion for music. Students may register for Spectrum Singers (MC120.01) to receive one credit or Spectrum Singers (MC 120.00) for no credit. Spectrum Winds is an ensemble consisting of woodwinds, brass and percussion open to all students, faculty and staff of all skill levels. The ensemble performs a wide range of popular, multicultural and traditional music. Students may register for Spectrum Winds as a one-credit course (MC 160.01) or a zero-credit course (MC 160.00) The ensemble meets Mondays at 7 p.m. in the Burd Center.
