Naomi Feil, a renowned expert in the field of working with the cognitively impaired, will present a workshop Saturday, Feb. 6, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Theatre on the Square in the Brenau University Downtown Center.
Feil is best known as the founder of the Validation Therapy method, a way of communicating with individuals with Alzehimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The free workshop, sponsored by Brenau’s Applied Gerontology program, will demonstrate techniques for family members, health care professionals and other caregivers to improve interactions with their loved ones and patients.
