The Northeast Georgia History Center hosts Family Day: Victorian Christmas this Sunday, Dec. 13.
The free event, sponsored by North Georgia Eye, explores the Victorian roots of our modern Christmas traditions with music, stories, hands-on activities, refreshments, history presentations and – of course – a visit from Santa Claus.
Children will have an opportunity to create their own Yuletide crafts and decorations, and every family attending can take home a free photograph with Saint Nick.
Victorian Christmas takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. The Northeast Georgia History Center is at 322 Academy St., NE, in Gainesville.
