Tickets Available for Elachee Gala at Brenau

The Elachee Nature Center’s 2015 Starlight Adventure Benefit takes place at the Brenau University Downtown Center this Saturday, Nov. 21, at 6 p.m.

Attendees have the option to participate in four “mini adventures,” including a telescope viewing on Roosevelt Square, a simulated excavation, an opportunity to get up-close and personal with some marsupials and a chance to try their hands (and feet) at an electricity-generating bicycle.

The relaxed, casual party features a beverage and appetizer bar, live music, a low-country boil dinner and both live and silent auctions, with prizes including a year’s lease on a Honda Insight hybrid car and a trip to Cuba. New this year is the Galaxy Travel Drawing, with the grand prize winner given the choice of one of four luxury trips to Canada, the Caribbean, Kentucky or Napa Valley.

Tickets can be ordered online until 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20, and phone reservations can be made from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the day of the event. Individual tickets are $70, while pairs can be purchased for $120.
