If you and your dependents are eligible for both your employer plan and Medicaid or CHIP assistance, your employer must allow you to enroll in your employer plan if you have not already enrolled. However, you must request special enrollment coverage within 60 days of being determined eligible for the assistance programs. If you have any questions about enrolling in the employer plan, please contact the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration at 1-866-444-3272 or visit http://www.askebsa.dol.gov

If you or your children are ineligible for Medicaid or CHIP, you may be able to purchase individual insurance coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace. For more information, visit http://www.healthcare.gov.
