The International Ballet Summer Intensive Program will present a dance performance at Brenau Downtown Center Theatre on the Square on Friday, July 24, at 7 p.m. The performance showcases the talent of dancers who have completed four weeks of vigorous study with world-renowned faculty from American Ballet Theatre, National Opera and Ballet of Bulgaria, The Suzanne Farrell Ballet, among others.
The program will open with an original ballet work, set to the harmonious music of Franz Shubert followed by the grand pas of Tchaikovsky’s heart-wrenching Swan Lake. Other classical variations and ensembles to be performed are from colorful classical ballets Le Corsaire and Don Quixote. International guests artists Darina Bedeva and Momchil Mladenov will perform the fiery and exuberant pas de deux from the ballet, Carmen. The program culminates with an avante garde modern work and jazz work.
The diversity and brevity of this performance is the perfect cultural event for both children and adults.
