July Camps on the Historic Campus

Young dancers participating in Brenau Alumni Professional Achievement Award winner Danita Emma’s International Ballet Summer Intensive Program are currently residing on the historic campus and rehearsing at Brenau East Campus dance studios daily. The group will perform on stage at the Downtown Center’s Theatre on the Square on Friday, July 24, at 7 p.m.

A summer reading program for children and adults will be held at the Jacobs Building’s Wilson Room three days per week: Mondays, July 6 to August 3 from 3:15-9:45 p.m., Tuesdays, July 7 to August 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Wednesdays, July 8 to August 5 from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Young filmmakers of the Atlantic Workshop Players arrive in numbers of 150-200 Sunday, July 12, and stay through Friday, July 17. Some camp counselors will remain on campus for the weekend as AWP has another performance-based camp of 200 dancers, singers and actors arriving Sunday, July 19, through Friday, July 24.

Volleyball campers are expected to arrive July 9 and stay through July 11. An estimated 25 athletes will enjoy most of their time training in the gymnasium.

Foothills Area Health Education Center students will be residing on campus Sunday, July 5, through Friday, July 31, while learning their days away at the hospital.
