Join the Northeast Georgia History Center at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 27, for a special presentation by noted aviation historian Dr. Daniel Haulman titled “The Tuskeegee Airmen: Myths, Facts, and Legends,” on this famed group of flying men.
The Tuskeegee Airmen, known formally as the 332nd Fighter Group, were African Americans who served in a segregated US military during World War II. Despite popular expectations to the contrary, they overcame adversity and proved to be one of the hardest-fighting and most effective fighter groups of the war.
Dr. Daniel L. Haulman has authored several books on the Tuskeegee Airmen and serves as the Chief of the Organizational History Division at the Air Force Historical Research Agency, where he has worked since 1982.
Admission to the presentation is $5. NEGA Members get in free! For more information contact 770-297-5900.
