Brenau Sorority Dance Competition Benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Delta Delta Delta’s five-sorority dance competition “DDD Dance Off” will take place in Pearce Auditorium on the Gainesville historic campus on April 1, at 7 p.m. Admission is $3, all of which will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

“Anybody who enjoys artistic modern dance will have a great time watching the dance off. We have a great variety of styles and groups on the schedule and all of them are reflective of popular culture during the past two decades,” said Monika Nwajei, philanthropy chair assistant of Delta Delta Delta.

The program styles are similar to what you see at nationwide competitions, including serious themes as well as fun hip-hop and some laugh-out-loud pieces.

The participating sororities are members of the National Panhellenic Council, which is an organization of 26 national and international fraternities and sororities. Judging from the enthusiasm and dance experience of the participants, the Golden Shoe awarded to the winning sorority will be a hotly contested prize.
