The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, a program of Society for Science & the Public, is the world’s largest international pre-college science competition. This year, our one of our mathematics professors, Dr. Art Evans, will serve as a Grand Awards judge at this year’s Intel ISEF in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, May 12, and Wednesday, May 13.
Millions of students worldwide compete each year in local and school-sponsored science fairs; the winners of these events go on to participate in SSP-affiliated regional and state fairs. The top students win the opportunity to attend Intel ISEF. More than 1,700 high school students from over 70 countries, regions and territories receive the opportunity to showcase their independent research and compete for more than $5 million in prizes on an international stage, where doctoral level scientists review and judge their work.
