The College of Business and Mass Communication hosted the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce’s Digital Marketing Workshop for the fourth time on Thursday, Jan. 29. “How to Convert Data into Sales” was sponsored by Charter Business, Full Media, Brenau’s College of Business & Mass Communication and WSI Digital Rainmakers.
Full Media discussed Google Analytics and attendees learned how to track visits to their websites and what the visitor’s behavior was once landing on a site. Speakers Kathryn Brown, Dallas Sage and Brooklyn Rains discussed how to interpret the information to help businesses grow.
Al Trembley and Elyse Sims of WSI Digital Rainmakers presented on topics such as “Social Media Analytics” and how to use “innovative digital media strategies.” During the event the Greater Hall Chamber tracked an Interactive Tweet Challenge and attendees answered questions throughout the workshop and won prizes for answering the first correct tweet. One guest won by only a two second margin.
The event reached maximum capacity of 100 attendees. Dean Suzanne Erickson of the College of Business and Mass Communication spoke with many workshop attendees. She also received numerous requests from local businessmen about their current digital marketing and business growth needs. The College is looking forward to offering additional workshops in the future.
