The Brenau University Safety Committee has declared February Campus Safety Awareness month with two events planned on the Gainesville historic campus and frequent safety tips and facts shared through various media channels. The committee seeks to help Brenau employees and students protect themselves and others from injury or worse.
The safety committee will host a pizza lunch-and-learn on Monday, Feb. 9, at noon with the Gainesville Police Department and include a texting and driving simulation to bring more attention to the risks of distracted driving. The event will be in the Student Union Building and is open to the entire Brenau community.
A workplace safety workshop for all Brenau faculty and staff will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, in Thurmond McRae Lecture Hall.
Tune in to Brenau on social media, 89.1 WBCX and the Update, Brenau’s official newsletter, for safety tips and facts during the month of February.
If you have a safety concern that is not an immediate danger please email the committee at firstname.lastname@example.org.
