Opening Reception and Gallery Talk: ‘The Ties that Bind: Civil Rights Photography from the High Museum of Art’

The opening reception for “The Ties that Bind: Civil Rights Photography from the High Museum of Art,” from the High Museum of Art’s Permanent Collection, is Thursday, Jan. 15.

The exhibit follows the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. and highlights the sense of community surrounding the fight for freedom and is free and open to the public.

The event will begin with refreshments in the Presidents Gallery  at 5:30 p.m. followed by a talk by Philip Verre, the High’s chief operating officer, downstairs in the Sellars Gallery at 6 p.m. For more information please call Brenau Galleries at 770-534-6263.
