University officials continue to closely monitor the Ebola crisis in West Africa. The Centers for Disease Control and U. S. State Department have level 3 travel warnings in place for Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, along with a level 2 travel alert for Mali.
Students, faculty and staff traveling over break are strongly advised to avoid travel to Sierra Leone, Guinea, Liberia and Mali. However, if you must travel to one of these countries you should notify the Center for Health & Well-being on the Gainesville campus at 770-534-6135 immediately after your return.
Please monitor CDC travel warnings and apply this message to all countries with active travel warnings or alerts due to the Ebola crisis. Contact the Center for Health & Well-being if you must travel to any country under Ebola warning or alert, or if you interact with individuals or family members that travel from those countries. More information for travelers can be found at http://www.cdc.gov/vhf/ebola/travelers/index.html.
