Brenau Student-Athletes Raise Money for Blood:Water Initiative

bloodwater_1392514367_140Brenau student-athletes Tyana Luna and Madison Strickland are leading efforts for the Blood:Water initiative to help raise money to supply clean and healthy drinking water to Africa. Luna, a cross country runner, and Strickland, a softball player, serve as representatives of the Southern States Athletic Conference Leadership Council, which is made up of student-athletes from each member institution.

Each SSAC school has been tasked with raising $1,000 for the Blood:Water campaign and each member school is running their own fundraising efforts for the cause. Brenau will begin advertising next week with donation jars located throughout campus. Other activities are planned and will include a Gainesville historic campus-wide event and athletic team participation.
