Brenau Athletics Sports Events Sept. 25-27

goldentigersBrenau University Athletics announces a huge weekend of athletic events involving four teams- including the opening meet of the season for the swim team.

On Thursday, Sept. 25, the Brenau volleyball team hosts Tennessee Wesleyan College at 7 p.m. to kick off a three-game home stand. The team continues their busy weekend with conference matches on Friday at 7 p.m. versus Faulkner (Alabama) University and on Saturday at 1 p.m. against Belhaven (Mississippi) University.

Saturday, Sept. 27 is the busiest day of the weekend as four teams are in competition. At 8:15 a.m., the defending Southern States Athletic Conference champion cross country team runs in the UNG Invitational. The 6K race, hosted at the University of North Georgia-Gainesville campus, is the closest race site during the season for the Golden Tigers.

The fourth-ranked swim team begins their trek back to the National Championships with their first meet of the season. The Golden Tigers will host Columbia (South Carolina) College, Berry (Georgia) College and Thomas (Georgia) University at 1 p.m. in the Brenau pool at the Fitness Center.

To close out the busy weekend, the No. 19 ranked Golden Tigers soccer team hosts Georgia Gwinnett College at 7 p.m. Brenau looks to continue their success over Georgia Gwinnett after defeating the Grizzlies 2-1 in their inaugural meeting last season.
